Fra il dramma palestinese & un baby-boomer smemorato/inacidito ….

“With God on our side, cioè con Dio dalla nostra parte”

Aver condiviso su Facebook l’appello  sottoscritto da 98 Nobel (più cantanti fra cui Roger Waters e Brian Eno) e divulgato anche dal blog di Daniele Barbieri (1) mi ha procurato non solo un attacco viscerale da un veronese (un “beat anni ’60 d.o.c.”) ma ha anche scatenato una micro-ondata di reciproci insulti (2) scambiati fra il suddetto e  una mia “archeo-amica” vicentina. A nulla è valso un primo intervento a ricordare quanto ebrei e comunisti siano stati accomunati dalle persecuzioni naziste. 

Stavo riflettendo su come tentar di ricondurre il tutto verso una riflessione quando stamattina, nella rassegna stampa alla radio, ho colto la notizia che un concerto di Noa previsto per il 27 ottobre 2014 al Teatro Manzoni di Milano è stato cancellato, pare, a causa del boicottaggio da parte dell’associazione Adei-Wizo-Donne Ebree d’Italia (3). 
Per chi non conoscesse ancora Noa (4) la si può connotare come “cantante israeliana …nata a Tel Aviv da una famiglia di ebrei yemeniti costretti a fuggire dal loro paese a causa dell’ostilità seguente alla proclamazione dello stato d‘Israele”.
Il tutto dovuto ad una sua recente intervista seguita da un suo lungo messaggio (5) in cui conclude che “Ci sono soltanto due parti in questo conflitto, ma non sono Israeliani e Palestinesi, Ebrei ed Arabi. Sono i moderati e gli estremisti. Io appartengo ai moderati, ovunque essi siano. Loro sono la mia fazione. E questa fazione ha bisogno di unirsi!”.
Non solo mi riconosco in questa dichiarazione e in questo appello, ma voglio proporre anche una “memoria musicale” contro gli estremismi ideologici e la loro naturale militarizzazione, ricordando i testi di alcune canzoni degli anni ’60, che i “baby boomers” (6) non dovrebbero mai dimenticare:
– “Masters of war”(7) e “With God on our side” (8) di Bob Dylan;
–  “Universal soldier” (9) di Donovan Leitch.

Riascoltatele e rileggetevi i testi e se conoscete qualche “baby boomer” inacidito quanto  smemorato ricordateglieli con forza!!
Anche questo può essere utile a far capire le ragioni espresse da Noa nel suo blog, di cui riporto alcuni passaggi chiave, facilmente confrontabili con il testo italiano riportato (3) nella notizia della cancellazione del suo concerto milanese.
E se avessero ancora dubbi ricordate loro il non mai troppo citato aforisma attribuito al Mahtma Gandhi : “Occhio per occhio …e il mondo diventa cieco”!

“Hamas are extremists, they are Jihadists, they are dangerous, they aim to kill every Jew including me and my children…”…”But is every man, woman and child to blame for the bitter, horrible foolery of both sides??” ….”Have you forgotten the most basic teachings of your own religion?? “
“We, Palestinians and Israelis alike, have “never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity to make peace”. We have created this mess with our own two hands, and we are paying the awful price for our arrogance and deaf foolery.”….. I am happy to have a strong Israeli Army to defend me against the those who clearly state their aim is to slit my children’s throats…BUT..i do not want to use my sorrow and fear as a shield against human empathy and clear thinking. On the contrary, I want to do the opposite.
“I want to stand in the middle of the rink, and speak my truth. There are only two sides, and they are not Israelis and Palestinians, Jews and Arabs. They are moderates and the extremists. I belong to the moderates, wherever they are. They are my camp. And this camp needs to unite!! I have nothing whatsoever in common with the Jewish extremists who burn children alive, who poison wells and uproot trees, who throw stones at school children, who are motivated by brainwashed hate and acute self-righteousness.”
